Do you ever think about your life's value?

What would be your stereotype?

Yesterday,I went through a meaningful tutorial.

All of us enjoyed the tutorial lesson.

The module was social psychology.

Our lecturer is Andy!He is handsome!

I like the way he teaching.

We used our brain to THINK for his lecture and tutorial.

Maybe is because of subject matter,that's why i like it.

I found it is interesting and i decide to write it here.

Yesterday,we carried about topic of Social Interaction and Relationships.

I got something that interesting from Mr.Andy's evaluation.

The tutorial carried by survey as we answer YES or NO with the left right movement.

The questions are :

Do you would be willing to marry an obese person ?

Do you would be willing to marry a gay or lesbian ?(still homosexual after the marriage)

Do you would be willing to marry a person who blind ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who deaf ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who without an arm ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who without an arm and a leg ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who lower part paralysis ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who is AIDS positiver ?

Do you would be willing to marry a person who is criminal or ex-criminal ?

As every movement we made,shall give the reason.

For the above questions,I realised something.

Just make a comparison here.

I answered YES to criminal/ex-criminal but NO to homosexual.

What's wrong?

It is bringing the meaning that,I may accept a person who did crime eg killing but cannot accept homosexual?

Is that criminal more acceptable to me if compared to homosexual?

Criminal did something against the law,break the social harmony.

But,homosexual didn't!

Why I choose that ?!

I realised that we all would become prejudice unconsciously.

This is called Prejudice!

2nd part:

Do you would be willing be friend with all the above categories? any exception?

*For this question,all of my classmate moved to the YES.

3rd part:

If you were the parent,do you allow your children to marry a obese/blind/deaf person?

*For this question,all of my classmate moved to YES except one who is one of the person who are not willing marry a obese person.His perception was our future children tend to follow what their parent did.For YES,we do want to respect the decision they made.

If you were the parent,do you allow your children to marry a person with AIDS positive?

*For this question,all of my classmate responsed NO!But,don't we respect their decision ?Why NO to AIDS?-Prejudice-

Why we all can accept be friend with all the categories?

Why we all cannot accept that our next generation marry a AIDS positive?

Evaluation:

All of this is called social prejudice.

And it is happened due to REASON and JUSTIFICATION.

What is reason?What is justfication?

Reason happened before the event.In clear,we always give ourself"excuse" to reasonise the decision/matter we want to do.

Justification happened after the event.Justification always different with reason.It is the consequences after we doing.

The reason and justification happened on me.

I always reasonise our excuse for doing/making any decision/action.

Afterward,i realised that what i trying to reasonise is different when i see the consequences and result.

I'd say YES to criminal/ex-criminal but NO to homosexual.

The reason I gave to criminal/ex-criminal is we shall giving the chance for them.And they will be willing to change for the love one.

But,why No to homosexual?As justification,I don't think that gay/lesbian is more criminal than criminal/ex-criminal.

The truth is I said NO for homosexual.

I should think about what is my value to life?
